As another consequence from being with lots of Berlin kids all day, Clara has also been sick a lot recently. After her Alberta earache and the stomach-bug that hit Clara's Opa, herself, and me right after our return, the poor little one just spent another week with a huge cold and a fever. The two are probably unrelated, since the fever is most likely due to Clara's last immunization (MMRV - the last shot before school! Yay!). Still, it made for a pretty tired and sad Clara. Despite the adorable whiskers for Fasching (Mardi Gras).
When she's not sick, Clara is a lot of fun to be around though. She's always busy, and happy to play by herself or with us. And being silly is one of her favorite occupations. Here she is practicing sticking her tongue out:
Now that it's getting a little warmer here, we're finally able to go outside a bit again. I'm really looking forward to resuming our habit from the fall, of meeting up after my work on the playground for some outside play time. It's almost bright enough for that (no daylight savings time yet in Germany, for another three weeks or so). And Clara LOVES the swings!
Finally, Clara strolling in the mall... while the boys look on... (be sure to click on the picture for a bigger view!)

Poor Clara when she was sick! She didn't look at all happy to have whiskers on her face. But the following pictures are lovely, especially the one with her practising sticking her tongue out. Being silly is very important when you're small, and, let's face it, when you're big!Love, Damien and Suzanne
