In another video, Clara acts out the lyrics of the song. For the non-German speakers, it goes "All my duckies, heads in the water and tails in the air". (chris says "We didn't teach her to do that, she either figured it out on her own from the lyrics or else from a picture of ducks with their tails in the air in a book that has that song in it!")
Finally, evidence of the GREAT sleeping that is going on in our house lately. Clara naps like a champ and falls asleep easier than ever. She is finally also spending the entire night in her own bed. This in particular has made for way fewer wakeups, and somehow Clara is also sleeping longer in the morning (maybe because her room is darker than ours). (There. I've said it. And I'm fully prepared for the crappiest night yet, of course.)

That dancing is so funny!! (It's so funny, that I acted just reenacted it for my husband. I probably should have just showed him the video.)

Those dancing videos are so cute! I like how she's doing ballet lifts with the doll.
It makes me so happy to hear about your great nights of sleep and Clara's champion-napping. Somewhere, somehow there must be light at the end of the tunnel (though I realize the end of the tunnel is pretty far away for us at this point!).

Josiah likes to dance, too. But he prefers not to dance alone and he is now getting bossy, so he says: Baba standup! Dance! Claphands!
Joan - the bossiness sounds awesome! We really love the dancing, too... most nights we put on some music for a little dance before bedtime.
As for the sleep: We are really really happy about the place we are in now, and actually we're also happy about the way we got here... we never felt like we abandoned Clara or anything. In the end we did a modified "Sleep Lady Shuffle" to help Clara consistently sleep in her own bed and go through the night without nursing. Email me for details. =)
