Six sick mammals tock

Last weekend Oscar started having a cold, and had a lot of trouble sleeping. Then, on Sunday night Clara woke up in the middle of the night with a fever, and that was the start of a very very long week...

Clara's Kita was celebrating Fasching (Carnival) on Monday, and Clara was really excited for it. Normally we would have kept her home, but which parent could keep this little one at home on such a day?

"which witch is which?"

When I got to the Kita I told her teachers what was up, and they told me that half the kids were sick, and both of the teachers had fevers too! Monday afternoon Tanja and I both noticed that we were getting sick, too. Tuesday morning I stayed home mainly to take care of Clara, and I noticed that it seemed like even the cats were sick! Wednesday Clara and I were both completely wiped out, and Tanja had to take care of both of us. Luckily Oscar never had it very bad, and Tanja's super constitution let her go back to work by Thursday.

Clara and I have been recovering slowly all week, and today was the first day that Clara was like herself. Other than the times that we gave her Tylenol, Clara spent most of the week sleeping or snuggled up to us. But today she was in a great mood, if not quite as rambunctious as normal. You can see from the photo that she's still not 100%.

Tomorrow I leave for a work trip for a week, so please wish all of us "Gute Besserung"!
