A crawling baby!

For the first time, we have a crawling, mobile baby in our house! Clara was never much interested in floor play. Instead, she wanted to sit, and she could already sit unassisted at 5 months or so. She loved to sit with some toys around her and play.

Oscar is so different. He's not very interested in sitting at all, but he LOVES to be on the floor, laying on his tummy or back, playing with toys, rolling-rolling-rolling, and recently (at about 6-and-a-half months), crawling!

He can get anywhere and everywhere now, quite quickly. We can't leave him unsupervised for more than a minute or so, because if he decides to play with that big ball of cat hair on the other side of the room, he will! (And by "play with", I mean "eat it", of course.)

Mostly Oscar doesn't get all the way on his hands and feet yet (although a few times he has done this), and he has developed a belly-crawling technique instead. But it works! We think it's very exciting.

Also, Clara got a watch! Now she can try to learn telling the time...
