He also loves bread and cookies, and gets very upset if these are taken away from him.
This picture was taken on my iPhone on our recent trip to Stralsund. Here's another one:
We haven't had so much luck yet with vegetables, but maybe I was just getting the wrong brand of baby food (I've been told about a better brand last week). So far, Oscar has liked carrots (with apples) and spinach. I also gave him cereal (made with pumped milk) a couple of times. But since I don't usually pump, I get so little milk, and it's such a hassle to pump... I probably won't be doing this very often. We won't be giving Oscar any cow's milk products before he's one, I think.
This little boy is HUNGRY - by now he basically expects solid food two to three times a day. Even though he can't really sit in his high chair yet, he eats quite considerable amounts each time, too. His nanny gave him half a banana at one sitting this week.
Consequently, Oscar's growing fast. He is at least a month or two ahead of Clara in size. By last month he had grown into the clothes Clara wore when we moved to Germany (she was seven months then, and we left all of her outgrown clothes in Philly). It's very sweet for me to see Oscar wear the same clothes that Clara used to wear. For example, these cute giraffe pajamas:
Or the clothes Oscar is wearing in this video:
