Yesterday we celebrated Christmas eve at our house with Clara's Oma, Opa, Uncle Robert, and Aunty Nadine. We set up our tree while Clara was sleeping on the night of the 23rd.
And Clara discovered the tree only when she woke up in the morning:
We decorated the tree on the morning of the 24th, and opened presents after Clara woke up from her afternoon nap.
Clara got several great toys and games, some of which will probably be interesting to her (for different reasons) for many years to come. Uncle Patrick and Aunty Dana braved amazon.de with nothing other than babelfish, and sent Clara a little cash till. I thought it would still be a little bit beyond her, but after a little demonstration from Aunty Nadine and Uncle Robert
she was already a pro!
One thing that I'm sure is the same everywhere Christmas is celebrated, is that it involves a lot of food, and especially Christmas cookies!
Clara really loves trading shoes with people. Clara finished supper before the rest of us last night. While we finished eating she traded slippers with me, and then further traded my slippers for Opa's! It's very cute to see her walking in an adults huge house shoes, here she is with Oma's:
Finally, here is a photo of Clara reading to several dolls that she's put in her bed, I guess to help them go to sleep?
Hope everyone reading is having as much fun as us!

Merry Christmas! What a great video of her seeing the tree for the first time--I love the quiet little smile she has. And great haircut--it's pretty similar to my own cut right now!
