Not until you're 21

Today Clara is 21 months old! She celebrated it by learning the word "beer" (or "Bier"...).

We're back in Berlin, so hopefully more exciting blog posts will follow soon with pictures from our vacation. To tide you over here's a great one that Opa took this week:

The rate of Clara's vocabulary increase is increasing rapidly. Last week she averaged three new words per day! I'm hoping at some point soon to take a look at them and make a pie chart showing what fraction are words for food, animals, body parts, etc.

(I think for the benefit of child protective services I should mention here that Clara already said "milk," "juice," "tea," "Kaffee" and "Wasser" before she started saying "beer"...)

But Clara is (also) German, so surely she will be allowed to drink beer when she's 16, no? ;)

Yeah, and in Canada (Alberta) it's 18 (19 in Ontario, and maybe also Saskatchewan?). But you're only 21 months once, so I thought why not throw caution to the wind and go with it!
