| Nearing the last round |
The kids did great! Clara was very disappointed to be restricted as to which routes she could take because she's not tall enough yet. Still, she was able to do three, while Oscar was restricted to one. When Oscar and his (younger) friend started out, I was worried that it was too difficult for them. But Oscar pushed himself and really got the hang of it. I think he did the track 7 times before we had to leave!
This morning Tanja left for a work trip, so I had the kids alone. In the morning we biked to a playground, we stopped briefly at home for lunch (thanks for the Spaghetti sauce Mom!), and then went to a nearby park to play soccer. We happened to meet up with another family from the kids school, and spent a nice hour or two with them. It was warm enough that I had to pop home to get shorts for the kids:
Then after a bunch more playing ("What time is it, Mr. Wolf" and "Simon says") we went to a fairground that's in town to celebrate the start of spring. The kids spent several months of accumulated allowance money on rides. Oscar was pretty adventurous - he went on a mini-rollercoaster with Clara and me, and he did ok but it was a bit much for him. This ride was right up his alley:
Clara... Well, remember this from when she wasn't quite three?
Someone grew up to become a lot more adventurous...

It was an amazing weekend, and hopefully the good weather will last for a few more days.

Wow. Wish I could've been there for Sunday, too... (but not for the rides!) xxxooo
