Fall activities

Fall is here. But it turns out, Fall is really nice. The weather has been beautiful (though cold in the mornings). Fall is apparently the street fair season, because we've been going to one or sometimes two a week. The kids love it.

S-Bahn model of Berlin where the kids could drive little electric trains.

Fake and real 'Brandenburger Tor'.

Both kids now have extracurricular activitities. In the past they've never really wanted to be in any regular classes or clubs. Especially Clara really valued her free time, after the long school days. But this year she's changed her mind, and has joined as many after-school programs as possible. She's doing a climbing class at my university gym (pictures below; we have to decide whether to sign up again from October onwards), and in school she has signed up for Spanish, Musical (they will perform 'Mary Poppins'), and guitar lessons.

Oscar had a 6-week swimming class (Saturdays and Sundays). He has made huge progress and gotten really motivated in the last few weeks. Since he isn't quite strong enough yet to swim without floating devices, we're thinking of sending him to another class for a few weeks to really master it. We're looking forward to taking both kids to the deep pool!

We are also really enjoying the sunshine.

... and the snuggles.
