If you're happy and you know it...

Finally we managed to capture Oscar's clapping on video:

Oscar knows that it gets our attention and claps his little hands all the time, for communication, or just for fun!

We have had to make the kids' room much more toddler-safe. Oscar is a pro at belly-crawling and pulling up on the furniture. I love it when he pulls up on the side of the bunk bed, and then lifts one little foot while pulling with his hands, trying to climb up higher! One time, I actually saw him lift both feet simultaneously, hanging only from his hands.

Clara is spending a week at her Oma's house. She couldn't wait to get going and kept asking "I want to leave right now!" - so we let them go a day early. They are having lots of fun together. Today, we heard that Clara went playing naked in the sea even though it is cold enough for my mom to wear a sweater and jacket!

I wonder if Oma will think of baking a cake with Clara? Because Clara loves to help and LOVES to lick the spoons and bowls.

One thing I know Clara is doing is sleeping in late!! She has been getting up after 10am each day of her vacation so far (no wonder since she stays up so late). How nice that must be for her, to luxuriate in bed instead of being pulled out of it by her parents at 7am! It's not easy to wake up Clara in the morning these days. The other day even Oscar's full out screaming in her bedroom (because he fell on his head) couldn't even make her stir.

Our new shelf, exhibiting the monkey with her friends and relations: the singing dog (Daddy), the Murmeltier and Eisbär (sisters; the two brothers are missing here), and probably the teacher plus several friends. Of course, Clara is the Mommy.
