Little monsters

Summer is here, and that means lots of trips to the park and lake! Last weekend Oma was visiting, and we had such an active day that Clara shocked us by falling asleep on the couch on her own!


Clara is having a lot of trouble going to sleep with the long days, and the short nights are waking Oscar up early. So not much sleep for the parents these days...

Oscar has gotten a lot stronger, and can pull himself up to standing, and stand for several minutes while holding onto a couch or Clara's bed. This looks kind of precarious, though:


Clara and Oscar's swimming classes just ended. I don't think Clara learned so much about swimming, but at least she's much more comfortable with water running over her head. She used to treat out washing her hair like we were waterboarding her, but now she actually holds the shower over her head and does it herself!


Clara recently made two videos for friends of ours from Philly that gave her presents when she was much younger. After she thanked Olivia for the "Little Monsters" book and her best friend the monkey she spontaneously read the book herself.
