Look at Oscar's four teeth! With which he can bite (ouch!), crunch individual cheerios, and chew on anything that's not fast enough to run away (for some reason, bikes, shoes, and big objects are especially interesting).

Oscar really likes eating. But when he sits in his high chair at the table and joins in at mealtimes, he really has to be kept busy! In the morning, he eats fruit or sometimes strawberries with yogurt. And when he's done with that, we give him a few cheerios to try his pincer grasp on. By now he can sometimes get them in his mouth (where he carefully bites them in half with his tiny teeth) - although he also enjoys sweeping them onto the floor.

He also eats lots of pureed fruit, banana, other soft fruit, some vegetables (mostly carrots), bread, pasta, egg yolk, and just ate a strip of bell pepper at dinner. Actually he's willing to try almost anything, and demands to eat, too, when he sees us eat. Also, my boy LOVES ice cream! (So far, yogurt flavor only, since I keep telling myself that's healthier...)
Clara has also recently tried some new foods, including asparagus and raw bell pepper, and she ate apple pie WITH all the apples. ;)

Last weekend we went to an experimental farm/agriculture museum here in Berlin (Domäne Dahlem). They had a fair that day, with antique rides from the early 20th century.

We biked there with our trailer, peacefully, since both kids fell asleep on the way. We went on most of the rides, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. On the way home, we stopped for said ice cream. And as Oscar was demolishing a good part of my portion, he kept saying "mo" (more) between bites! He has also said "dada" and "mama", and he has said "Clara" very clearly several times, too!

This last picture shows Clara and Oscar having fun at the playground after Kita. It's nice how they like playing with each other.
