Talking

Yesterday Tanja and I were watching a video of Clara talking from a month or two ago - it was amazing to see how much she's changed in such a short time! She speaks much more clearly now, and uses much longer sentences. Some cute snippets:

The other day when I was flying in the evening for work Tanja and Clara had the following conversation:

Clara: Daddy fliegt ganz hoch! Wie seine Arme! Und wie sein Mund!
Tanja: Daddy flies even higher, as high as the clouds!
Clara: High of the moon!

(Daddy flies really high! As high as his arms! And as high as his mouth!)

Clara's Opa sent her a hologram postcard of a seahorse, where the tail switches from straight to curly when you tilt the card. Somehow it seams Clara didn't notice it for the first day or two, and a few days after she'd had it she brought it to Tanja because it was "kaputt"!

Recently when we've asked Clara to go somewhere or do something she's responded with "I can't right now, I'm busy!", or "Later, I'm busy", and then when she's done what she's been working on she says "now I'm not busy anymore!" Poor kid, pretty clear where she learned that phrase from...

Clara is a whiz on the playground now! She's a super climber, balancer, and hopper. On the swings she constantly yells "NEIN! GANZ DOLL!" (No, really hard!) or else "ganz laut!" (really loud! - I guess she thinks loud and hard are similar.) She loves trampolines, and just recently learned to be a monkey:



Ok, the Germany game is back on, so it's time to post. Clara is sleeping, but her baby brother is apparently crazy about soccer! He kicks like mad as soon as the game starts, and continues the whole time Tanja is watching!
