spiderpig returns

Clara has started getting interested in animals (especially the neighbour's ducks!), so we recently went to the zoo in Stralsund. It's an interesting zoo, and we all had a lot of fun. There are geese, chickens, and roosters that all roam free over the grounds, so it's funny to follow them around. There are also a lot of spots where you can pet small animals like sheep.

We didn't see any spiderpigs at the Stralsund zoo, so we took a trip back to Berlin.

Clara is starting to get more interested in eating - more and more of it is going in the mouth, although you might not guess it from her first taste of spinach...

Yesterday she grabbed and ate an onion! She loved it even though it made her eyes water!

On Monday Tanja, Clara, and I climbed the 366 stairs to the deck in the "bulb" of Saint Mary's Church in Stralsund. Here is what it looks like from the bottom:

and here we are standing on top:

The view was great, but Clara wasn't a huge fan of the wind. What she is a fan of is standing! Here she is after we came down from the church

and after coming in from the garden:

Love your blog, it is nice to watch Clara grow. Missed you at the reunion which went well, I think. I'm in charge of the next one so must have done something right or more likely, no one else wants to do it! Anyway, enjoy your pictures. Love Colleen

mmmm onion... Silas loved lemons (still does sometimes, but they aren't good for his teeth)
Clara is such a cutey and you guys all look really happy in your lovely new homeland (between the petting zoos and the train rides it's a perfect toddler location!)
