Sleeping Oscar

When Oscar gets tired, he can sleep anywhere. This means, he will actually just lay down, wherever he is, and be asleep within seconds.

Sometimes he doesn't even need to lay down:

Asleep on the tram on the way home from school.

A collage of sleeping Oscars for future reference:

An hour later...

At the beach, in 37C weather.

Exausted from eating ice cream after school.
Oldie (at least 6 months old) from Berlin
He really WAS too tired to come upstairs.

Fell asleep in the backyard while Chris carried the bags upstairs

At the tram stop

Too tired to walk

Fell asleep during dinner (reminds us of the family reunion!)

Paving stones line up (not sure where this is)

Paving stones don't line up (not sure where, but clearly different)

It's crazy because if Oscar falls asleep in the late afternoon after school (usually around 5pm), he is literally unwakeable for at least 3 hours or so. I've tried. At this point he usually wakes up, pretty confused ("But it's bright out and I slept, it must be morning!"), and it can be difficult for him to go back to sleep before 11 or so.

But his ability to fall and stay asleep has already earned him quite the reputation with the other parents in our house, who mostly have young toddlers at home. They think it's hilarious, and I think they are a little jealous.
