Here's a few photos and videos from the last several months.
At the end of August, the kids enjoyed Turmstrassenfest (a street fair that takes place near us each year). On the first day Tanja and I paid for some rides, but on the 2nd day Clara spent several months of accumulated allowance on rides for her and Oscar. Oscar liked a few of the rides, but he's not the most adventurous child, and at first even the train was a bit scary for him.
The big hit this year was this giant inflatable slide. I didn't think the kids would be able to do it (particularly Clara, since she was in an "afraid of heights" phase), but they had a huge amount of fun!

In September, we went to a "star party" outside of Berlin. Before the sun set, Clara had fun repeatedly running the entire length of the field where the telescopes were set up. We had a very full day with swimming and a picnic dinner, and Clara was too tired by the end to really enjoy the stars. We saw quite a few shooting stars, but Clara was never looking in the right direction, and by the time we left she was in quite the mood.
In October, we met my parents in Amsterdam. This was a cool little park outside of the Rijksmuseum that had a set of fountains that made walls that you could hide behind. The kids loved it, and only got a little wet.
A few weekends ago Clara's friend Sampo and his dad Mikko spent an evening with us when they were on their way through Berlin. Oscar had a lot of fun playing "Tempo Kleine Fische", which is the best game for 2-4 year olds that I've ever seen.
