Saskatchewan is the "land of living skies", which is very helpful for keeping you awake on the occasional turn-free 150 km stretch of road...
At the reunion, the kids played hard every day, stayed up late every night, and slept in late every morning:
Oscar surprised everyone one day by deciding he wanted to wear one of Clara's summery dresses:
With the one morning in a dress, and several afternoons in his birthday suit, Oscar was by far the most carefree dresser at an event not exactly known for its formal wear.
In the four weeks we were in Canada, we drove over 4000 km:

That's kind of crazy when you think about it - on a 4 week vacation we spent a full work week worth of driving. The kids were pretty good, but they're not used to riding in cars, and on some of the long stretches they started getting on each others nerves. Oscar would constantly ask "when will we get to Canada" (meaning Grandma and Grandpa's house), and Clara would yell that "we're already in Canada". For this reason, we did the final 850 km stretch from Fort Qu'appelle to Calgary during the night. It was a bit freaky because of all the deer, but we made it safe and sound.
So long, Canada! We had a great time, and we can't wait to come back!
