In this video, Oscar is combining the hiding game with Clara's "There's a mouse under the bed!"-game, according to which we find a kid-mouse which comes out saying "peep peep" and running to us. Chris and I have to act scared of the mouse/mice in this game until our calls for a Clara-cat or Oscar-cat finally are heard and the helpful kitty eats the mouse up with a huge bite. It's a complicated choreography that has to be followed exactly, but that the kids apparently can never get tired of. It's also really cute to see how Oscar picks up game elements from Clara.
Welcome to the summer!
We get to spend every afternoon at the playground now (only an hour from 5-6 because hungry kids are very grumpy kids so we need to be home for our early dinner-time). Here's Oscar with a daycare friend:
The kids love running into their friends from daycare. Usually Clara will see one or two girls she knows from Kita at the playground - and then run off to play with them. I check on her occasionally (scanning the playground to see if I can still locate her) but usually I just see her a couple of times during that hour.
Oscar's favorite game at home and at the playground is "cooking". At the playground he likes to cook "very very hot!" food and line it up on a table.
Cute pic of Clara and Oscar holding hands - last weekend we went on a walk in the forest.

Clara's bike is the purple one in the middle. Note how all but one of the kids' bikes don't have training wheels - the kids riding these bikes are between 3 and 5 years old.
I'm sure we have a video of Clara's bike-riding somewhere... she's riding her bike to Kita most days now. When we find it we'll post it here of course!

I love this post. The kids are so cute!
Thanks, Tamara! It's true, they're so cute and sweet... Chris just visited me at my work with the kids and it's awesome to see Oscar running around, finding interesting things (a magazine with a picture of a CAR! an ELEVATOR!), then hiding behind the door when a colleague tries to say "hi".
