Leaves, pumpkins & babies

It's fall in Berlin, and the rain and cold and dark (our time change was last weekend) is keeping us indoors a lot more.

So for Halloween last weekend we decided to carve a pumpkin!

We got some support from my brother Robert and his girlfriend Nadine. At first, Clara was very suspicious of the project.

And then she quickly got even more upset about it... so we were mostly left to ourselves without Clara's help.

Robert scraped out the inside (keeping the seeds to be roasted - yum!)...

Nadine made some designs for faces...

... and Tanja and Nadine carved out the eyes and nose and mouth...

... and this is the finished pumpkin!

And what were the kids doing in the meantime?

Here, Clara is playing with her newest toy, the play store she got from her Oma for her birthday.

We have lots more pictures... but some cute Oscar photos, us dressed up for a party, Clara's birthday photos and even some "talking" videos of Oscar will all have to wait for another post!
