Our summer girl is on vacation, staying with Oma for a week! It sure feels quiet in the house without her constant chattering and the pitter-patter of little feet.
But it seems like Clara's having fun so far (the beach is her favorite!), and Chris and I are happy to enjoy some adult-only evenings. And we're already looking forward to visiting her at the Baltic Sea this weekend - it's been unbearably hot in the city for the last few days.
The new baby is doing good despite the heat (everybody wasn't kidding about summer pregnancies!). He's growing perfectly and very active: whenever we were watching a World Cup game, the little one seemed to try to join in with all the kicking he was doing!
