To the Mall

Yesterday we went on another big adventure with Clara - to the mall. But the little one showed her best behavior, starting with the transport. Obviously, one is at first a little upset at being put in the carseat (especially with those tight harness straps):

But then again, one can sleep so nicely in it:

Actually the only time that Clara really screamed was in the bathroom, when I was changing her. You might ask yourselves: "Why is Tanja changing Clara when she could have easily made Chris do it?" Good question. The answer is that there are no changing tables in the men's bathroom, so Chris can't change his baby's diaper! What a shame, seriously. I think we're going to write a letter to Franklin Mills.

Anyway, here's Chris in the mall with Clara.

And in the background, we demonstrate the state of baby clothing in this country: the entire baby store is segregated down the middle into a pink half and a pale blue half. Honestly! Well, with her cow pants and purple sweater (thanks, Erin), everybody in the mall thought Clara was a boy. I guess we still have to learn how to play the gender stereotyping game...
